About the Role
JB&B is seeking a BIM Specialist to join our BIM Department for our New York office. This position plays a key role in the implementation of new and existing technologies that aid in the design and documentation process. You will work across disciplines to ensure adherence to standards, create content, provide training, and develop and research new tools. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between the technology and design departments. The ideal candidate will have an engineering and/or construction background and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trades.
Responsibilities
- Solves design workflow inefficiencies through the mapping and integration of AEC technologies
- Creates initial Revit project setup and prepares for the production team
- Performs Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Revit project models
- Creates and helps maintain Revit families, content and documents
- Identifies and proposes options for improvement or resolution of issues and relates those solutions directly to business goals and issues
- Works as part of a BIM support team to achieve consistent results
- Provides internal Revit training classes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related industry
- Demonstrated experience with the process, workflow and use of Autodesk Revit
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Navisworks Manage, and familiarity with other industry software
- Familiarity Computational Design applications, such as Dynamo
- Proficiency using Bluebeam
- Knowledge of Programming and Scripting for BIM (Dynamo, Python, C#).
- The Ability to make Parametric Revit Families.
- The ability to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable steps that can be automated.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

Estimated compensation range: $90,000-$110,000 a year (exempt).
